TBS structural system provides a primed internal surface ready for jointing and painting, a 90mm cavity for services, insulation, glazing and a finished exterior cladding. This eliminates the need for external scaffolding and delivers a building to “lock-up” within days.
The patented connection system, named the Tendon Intersect Connection (TIC) and Tension Offset Cone Connection (TOCC) or TIC-TOCC was invented by Mr James Murray-Parkes who is the Head of Science and Engineering at Brookfield Multiplex Engineering Innovation Group. The system involves the prefabrication and integration of structural steel members into wall panels to provide a fast and cost effective tension connection for applications in both commercial and residential construction.
